The Old Shepherdians' Association (OSA) was established informally quite a time ago, but it took the initiative of the staff as well as the students to make it what it is today.
An important landmark was October 15, 2001, when about 15 alumni gathered in Ooty. Under the guidance of the Staff Advisor Mr. Victor Selwin, a Council was formed. A President, Vice President, Secretary and Joint Secretary were formally appointed to enable communication amongst various batches and to establish OSA as an institution. The very next year 2002, the excitement generated by the introduction of this idea was evident. The network started growing and many were beginning the reap the benefits when they could connect to their long lost pals.
October 15, 2002 - the school's Silver Jubilee
fanned further awareness of the network. We could
see people ready to help this effort in all
possible ways. As on May
15,2004 - the group consists of approximately 200
members. There have been several attempts to
organize reunions and lots more. In fact, there
have also been proposals of helping the world
outside in a charitable manner.
Most of us would agree that the days we spent in high school were certainly the best days of our lives. It was in school that we made our first friends, competed to excel, hoped for placed in the sports teams and learned our first lessons about life through dormitories and classrooms and playgrounds.
‘Your schooling may be over, but remember that your education still continues’.
This website
for OSA - www.shepherdian.com
which, we believe can promote interaction,
discussions and news in a manner that is
convenient to everyone. We believe that the OSA
has a long way to go and that can happen - only
with 'your' help... Cheers!
